Annual meeting returns June 4
Registration and voting June 3, 4 only at LEC’s main office
For the past two years, Laurens Electric Cooperative’s Annual Meeting of Members has been virtual, and registration and voting has been drive-through only in order to protect ourselves and each other from COVID-19. This was an unprecedented, but necessary, move that led us to a new type of annual meeting.
While we miss meeting in-person, you’ve told us – and shown us, through record participation – that you like this convenient way of making your voice heard in the operation of your co-op. So, 2022’s Annual Meeting registration and voting for your representatives on the Board of Trustees will remain drive-through only.
Listening to your preferences, wants, and needs is one of the ways your membership matters. As a member-owned electric cooperative, your participation allows us to focus on your satisfaction.
Emphasizing the best ways to meet the needs of our membership and our community has helped us navigate this complicated time in our history.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have worked to find the most effective adjustments to our operation without sacrificing service or the reliable delivery of electricity to you each day.
As we continue to adapt to the changes of the world we live in today, one thing you can count on is that your electric cooperative will never change our focus on our members. And one of the most important ways to channel that focus is through your participation in the Annual Meeting.
So, join us at our main office in Laurens Friday, June 3 or Saturday, June 4, register and leave with a $25 bill credit and the chance to win a retired LEC fleet vehicle. You’ll also be able to view the business meeting on our web site on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
We look forward to seeing you next month and to serving you every day.
