The Upstate Alliance is a public/private regional economic development organization designed to market the dynamic 10-county Upstate region to the world. The 10 counties of the Alliance represent the commerce-rich northwestern corner of SC. The Alliance was formed in 2000; and, in 2003 is fully staffed, with state-of-the-art infrastructure to aggressively implement an effective regional economic development strategy.
The mission of the Greenville Area Development Corporation is to promote and enhance the economic growth of Greenville County by serving as the single source contact for economic development in the greater Greenville Area. This mission will be furthered by coordinating with our community-based resources dedicated to promoting economic development in the area.
The Laurens County Development Corp makes it our business to develop industrial sites, parks, and buildings that meet a variety of needs. Our region is the hub of established manufacturing and research in the state. Clemson University and BMW have teamed to create a new International Center for Automotive Research just ten miles from our border. We have four industrial parks, numerous rail served sites and a 32,000 sq.-ft. spec building waiting for your inspection.
