Service to membership honored by co-op in 2019

Tumblin named 2019 Employee of the Year

Laurens Electric Cooperative has named Field Service Technician Jamie Tumblin its Employee of the Year for 2019.

Supervisors submit nominations and a committee consisting of co-op senior staff discusses and selects a winner based on the following criteria: Performing beyond the call of duty, exemplifying the co-op’s core values by putting forth extra effort, and making outstanding contributions which help Laurens Electric fulfill its mission to meet or exceed the expectations of its members, and commitment to community.

Jamie Tumblin has served the co-op’s members for 18 years. In that time, technology has changed rapidly. As an integral part of the co-op’s advanced metering infrastructure, Jamie has embraced that change, enhancing his skill set and performing duties outside of his normal workload. He gets the job done right and with a positive outlook.

Employees also nominated include Cashier Gloria Campbell, ProTec Residential Salesperson Dennis Fox, and Accountant Frank Harling.
