Locater James Ferguson paid forward $500 to the Laurens County Cancer Association.James said, โ€œSo many members of my family have suffered from cancer,โ€ adding โ€œI wanted the money to stay local, to help people in our community.โ€ The non-profit organization is dedicated to supporting Laurens residents who are battling cancer. Its goal is to offer assistance to cancer patients and their families, raise awareness about the disease, and provide education. Fundraisers and donations help with:โ€ข fuel assistanceโ€ข prescription assistanceโ€ข nutritional support (Boost, Ensure, Glucerna, etc)โ€ข medical equipmentโ€ข personal hygiene and household itemsAdditionally, the association offers resources and helps connect individuals in need with necessary services. There are only two qualifications to receive help: you must be a resident of Laurens County, and undergoing treatment under the care of an oncologist.
